John Marth

Founder

John Marth founded The Marymont Group in 1997 with the objective of creating a uniquely client-centered, cost-effective executive search experience. John decided that Marymont should not simply perform transactional search work, but also be a trusted partner and advisor to the companies it served. In creating Marymont Group, John leveraged his over thirty years of senior executive staffing and human resources experience at major organizations including ITT Corporation, Sun Chemical and American Broadcasting Company. In short, he created the company he wanted to have worked with during his corporate career.

Prior to founding The Marymont Group, John was the Chief Human Resources Executive for the Electronics, Defense and Telecommunications Sectors of ITT Corporation. John also served as the Director of Executive Staffing at ITT Industries where he oversaw senior executive staffing for the entire corporation. Prior to joining ITT, John held several senior human resources positions at Sun Chemical Corporation, Inmont Corporation and American Broadcasting Company.

Although John has stepped away from the daily operations of Marymont, he still manages key assignments and serves as an advisor and trusted counselor.

John holds a BA in Psychology from Duke University and an MA in Psychology from Long Island University.
